If you’ve never tried watermelon in a savoury combination, you have to make this recipe ASAP. Watermelon, mint with sour cabbage and feta... the perfect recipe for barbecue and picnic!
For a smaller bowl:
1/2 watermelon, cut into approx. 1 cm cubes
100 g feta
1 small red onion, peeled and cut into thin rings
2 sprigs of fresh mint, leaves picked (set aside a few leaves for decoration)
2 tablespoons SUUR Garlic & Pepper or Classic Love Craft Kraut
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice|
1 tsp medium-hot mustard
1 tsp maple syrup (or more to taste)
salt and pepper to your taste
For the dressing, mix all the ingredients in a screw-top jar. Adjust seasoning to your taste and set aside.
In a bowl, mix the melon, onion rings, SUUR sauerkraut and mint with the crumbled feta and mix in the dressing. Decorate with the remaining mint leaves. Voila!
